Milton is the smallest village in my County Electoral Division.  This picture shows the Black Boy Inn ('phone: 01295 722111;web link: www.blackboyinn.com ) and the Church of St John the Evangelist.

Your District Councillor is Cllr Rick Atkinson.  His address is 1 Lake Walk, Adderbury Oxon  OX17 3PF;  his 'phone number is 01295 812972;  his e-mail address is cllr.rick.atkinson@cherwell-dc.gov.uk.  Cherwell District Council deals with benefits (council tax and housing), economic development, environmental health, housing, planning, recreation and collects the council tax.  Here is the link to the Cherwell Web Site: www.cherwell-dc.gov.uk.

The village has a Parish Meeting which is open to every villager and meets several times per year, usually in the Games Room of Manor Farm.  The Chairman of the Village Meeting is Patrick Plunkett ('phone: 01295 722974; e-mail: pat.plunkett@btopenworld.com).  Notice of each Parish Meeting is shown on the village notice boards.

Planning Applications are decided by Cherwell District Council after seeking the Parish Meeting's view.  The District Council is bound by national, regional and county planning rules and is under huge pressure from the current government to encourage higher densities, less car use and, above all, to build more and more homes.  Click here for a list of Planning Applications currently under consideration by Cherwell: Planning

My monthly Councillor's Village Surgery is on the first Saturday of every month, in the Black Boy Public House from 12 noon to 1:00 pm.   All are welcome;  I will help with any problem relating to local public services.
