News feeds

This website uses news feeds (sometimes known as RSS feeds) to help you easily keep up to date with my latest Blogs and News.

What are news feeds?

Feeds allow you to have news, updates and many other pieces of web content delivered to one place.

What use are they?

Feeds save you the trouble of manually checking all your favourite web sites. They keep everything in one place in a shortened, easy-to-browse format.

Subscribing to feeds allows you to keep up to date with all the news you are interested in at a glance. As they update automatically, you don't have to worry about missing news or updates from your favourite websites.

Most major websites (such as the BBC) make extensive use of feeds as a way of letting people easily access their content.

How do I see these feeds?

You can have feeds delivered to a separate piece of software (called a news reader - several free ones are available). I use NewzCrawler. Personalised web pages, such as Google Homepage, can also display feeds. Windows Vista has support for RSS feeds built-in.

My blogs and news feeds

My blogs and news feeds allow you to keep up to date on the latest blogs and news published on my website. At the moment, there are RSS feeds on my Breaking News page, on my Political Blog page and on my Local Blog page. Visit these pages for feeds on specific subjects.

Once you subscribe to one of our feeds, new articles will appear in your news reader as we publish them.

How do I subscribe to krmcbe’s feeds?

Whenever you see this symbol: RSS logo on one of my pages, you can subscribe to a news feed. Subscribe by dragging the RSS logo icon into your news reader. Alternatively, click the logo, then copy and paste the web address into the ‘new feed’ box in your news reader.
